Itinerary
DAY 01 : Flight to Gonkar airport of Lhasa & transfer to Tsedang
- You can fly from Kathmandu to Gonkar airport oh Lhasa. Upon arrival, you’ll be met & greeted by the Tibetan guide & drive to Tsedang .
- Check in hotel & take rest for acclimatization.
DAY 02 : Tsedang
- Visit the Yambulakhang Palace, Traduk temple & ancient tombs of Tibetan Kings in Chongye Valley.
DAY 03 : Sedang – Lhasa (12,193ft, 122 miles, 4 hrs)
- Drive to Lhasa. En route, Samye Monastery.
DAY 04 : At Lhasa
- Visit Dalai Lama’s Potala and Norbulingka Palaces, Drepung and Sera Monasteries, Jorkhang temple, Traditional Tibetan Hospital, Barkhor street etc.
DAY 05 : To Gyantsevia
- To Gyantsevia Yamdrok Tso and driving over two high passes, Kamba La (15,700 ft) and Karo La (16,500ft), en route sightseeing of Drolma Lakhang Monastery and Samding Monastery in the shores of Yamdrok Tso Lake.
DAY 06 : To Shigatse
- Visit the highlights of Gyantse such as Pelkor Chode Monastery and Kumbum Stupa and in the afternoon drive to Shigatse-the second largest city of Tibet after Lhasa.
- After refreshment, visit Tashilunbo Monastery -the principal seat of Panchen Lama.
DAY 07 : Return drive to Lhasa
- Return drive to Lhasa via New Road, following the Yarlungdzangbo River and visiting Yundrungling Monastery in Tradruk.
DAY 08 : Departure
- Transfer to Gongar airport for your flight to onward destination.
